I have stopped the ccmexec service, but when I start it again, the application deployment resumes and goes back to installing status.I restarted the entire PC and the application deployment starts again after the reboot.I waited overnight to see if it would time out from maximum time being exceeded, but when I came back this morning, the Software Center still shows the application status installing.
How do you get rid of application installs that arent working and wont time out and stop on their own. Open an elevated CMD and go to he path C:WindowsCCMSETUP and press enter. Close CMD. Reboot. Delete any left over folders like C:WindowsCCM or CCMSETUP or CMCACHE Reinstall the client from the console or from a manual setup.
